Onboarding is short on purpose. Nothing here needs your bank before it is useful, and nothing asks for a card to look around.
One currency per household, chosen once. There is no exchange-rate machinery in this product, which is a deliberate simplification rather than a gap — an account in another currency is reported separately instead of being converted behind your back.
A name and today's balance is enough to make the forecast work. Connecting a bank will be optional, always: a typed-in account plus a CSV from your bank is a complete way to use this.
A small starter tree, which you then bend to your own thinking. Nesting has no depth limit, and you can create a category without leaving the review queue — which is where most of them turn out to come from.
